Obituary for shipmate Dr. Robert E. Harbaugh



Robert E. Harbaugh D.O., 80, Clinton, died January 12, 2007 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 16 at Consalus Funeral Home with burial in Englewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 7-8 pm

Dr. Harbaugh was born in Coffeyville, Kansas, December 4, 1926, son of David D. Harbaugh, D.O. and Veta Hall Harbaugh. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a 53-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton, life-time member of the American Legion and held numerous other memberships. He served many patients over the years as a doctor at Wetzel Clinic.

Preceding him in death is his parents; his first wife, Martha; a son Richard Lawrence Harbaugh and one brother, Edward D. “Ted” Harbaugh. He is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons, James R. Harbaugh and wife B.J.; Thomas J. Harbaugh; two daughters, Barbara A. Kaszuba; Linda L. Harbaugh; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren plus several nieces and nephews.
